This is the voice of
moderation reaching you from the veterans of the rising sun.
Elders who put their
lives on the line that we may survive.
Who have borne the
pains silently since the end of the war.
Many have gone
beyond without a word.
Many of you can bear
witnesses that you father's, your uncles who held our enemies at bay
in the battle lines will never discuss the war. They could only say
few words and a sigh.
Yes it was deep, yes
very deep. Only those of us who were there knew how deep.
The time of silence
is over, it is time to talk, for history is not just what happened,
but what happened when you were there.
